Connectors
Connect an Instagram professional account through its Facebook Page to publish image posts.
Connect an Instagram professional account, and NegiFlow can publish the posts you approve to it.
Before you start
You need:
- An Instagram professional account, either business or creator. Personal accounts can't be connected. You can switch an account to professional in the Instagram app, at no cost.
- That account linked to a Facebook Page you manage. NegiFlow finds your Instagram account through its Page.
Connect Instagram
Instagram connects through Facebook, because Meta runs the sign-in for both.
- In the side menu, select Connectors.
- Select Connect next to Instagram, and sign in to Facebook if it asks.
- Choose the Page that's linked to your Instagram account, and the Instagram account if Facebook lists it, then continue.
- Back on Connectors, the Instagram card lists your account.
To add another Instagram account later, select Manage accounts on the Instagram card, then Edit settings when Facebook asks, and choose its Page.
Tip
Every post needs an image
Instagram doesn't allow text-only posts. Select Upload image on the post, while you review it or after you approve it. Images can be JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 8 MB. Until it has one, the post shows Needs an image and offers Add image instead of Schedule, and NegiFlow won't publish it. Once the post is published, NegiFlow deletes its copy of the image.
Daily limit
Instagram limits how many posts one account can publish in 24 hours. NegiFlow checks your account's limit before each post and won't publish once you've reached it.
What NegiFlow can access
NegiFlow asks for access to the Pages you chose, the basic profile of the Instagram account linked to them, and permission to publish posts to that account. It only publishes posts you've approved.
Disconnect Instagram
On Connectors, select Disconnect next to the account, then confirm. Posts scheduled to it stop too.
Using your own app ID and secret
You don't need a Meta developer app. NegiFlow connects through its own Meta app, and connecting through your own app ID and secret isn't available yet.
