How scheduling works

What happens at a scheduled post's time on each channel, and what to do when one can't go out.

When you schedule a post, NegiFlow takes care of it at that time. What happens next depends on the channel, and each scheduled post says which: Posts automatically or We'll remind you when it's time.

Facebook and Instagram

Posts go out on their own at the time you picked, usually within a minute.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn doesn't let apps post for you automatically, so NegiFlow emails you when it's time instead. Open the post and select Publish now. Until you do, it stays Scheduled on the Posts board and Calendar, marked Due now.

Changing a scheduled post

You can fix a scheduled post's text until 5 minutes before its time. Open the post and select Edit text. When you save, NegiFlow checks the new text again and keeps the time you picked. Once a post is out on a channel, change it there instead.

When a post can't go out

Before publishing, NegiFlow checks the post again: it's still approved, it passed the safety check, your trial or plan is active, the connection works, and it's within the posting limits. If something isn't right, the post goes On hold with the reason, and you get an email. Open it to fix the problem or pick a new time.

A post that can't go out within 2 hours of its time is put on hold too, so it doesn't go out much later than you meant.

If a channel is busy, NegiFlow tries again after 2, 10 and 30 minutes. If it still can't post, you get an email with the reason.

Needs checking

Sometimes NegiFlow loses contact with a channel while a post is going out, so it can't tell whether it was published. It marks the post Needs checking and emails you, and it never sends it again on its own, so it can't appear twice. Check your page, then open the post and select It's posted or Try again.

Connections that expire

LinkedIn and Meta connections expire after a while. If one will expire before a post scheduled on it, NegiFlow emails you a week ahead, so you can reconnect it on Connectors.
